HISTORY
Josh Warburton was born in Booneville, CA, July 9, 1976. His family relocated to Southern Utah the summer of 1980. His father, regionally renown blues guitarist Jesse Warburton - known to audiences as Brother Music, formed a family band in the mid 1980's with his children, Aura, Josh & Ben. This is when Josh's love of music formed, motivating him to learn guitar and sing.
By the age of 15 Josh was performing original acoustic guitar tunes at local cafés & events. He formed his first band "The Forest" during high school, performing at local dance halls and schools. The second project "Paisley" continued Josh down his path of original songwriting and gave him good live experience playing at local skate parks, dance clubs and performance venues. During these years Josh also performed dozens of times solo, including trips to other Western States.
The third band "Wishlist" yielded Josh's first release to the public "Pamela Lee E.P.," led off by a little ditty paying homage to one of our greatest modern sex symbols. It also included longtime audience favorites "Bliss" and "Eighteenth Street." Wishlist broke up at the end of 2000 with one member leaving on an LDS mission and another moving to California.
Since then Josh has made many appearances on stage and at festivals and intimate venues. He has also been working on new material and polishing up a few fan favorites in preparation for the release of his first full length studio album which is currently being recorded. This album will culminate 10+ years of songwriting into a single collection worth the wait. Watch for it.
Josh has also formed a new group "Mouths of Babes" which includes Sean Taylor, former member of Trigger Locks & Brian Huntsman known from the bands Live April & Cherry. Check back on the "Shows" link for upcoming performance dates. We'll see you there.
